Know India Programme



Know India Programme (KIP) of the Ministry of External Affairs is a three-week orientation programme for diaspora youth conducted with a view to promoting awareness on different facets of life in India and the progress made by the country in various fields e.g. economic, industrial growth, education, science & technology, communication & information Technology, culture. KIP provides a unique forum for students & young professionals of Indian origin to visit India, share their views, expectations & experiences and to develop closer bonds with contemporary India.

The programme is open to youth of Indian origin (excluding non-resident Indians) in the age group of 18-30 years who are at least graduates from a recognized University /Institute or enrolled for graduation. Applicant must provide his/her previous PIO card number or that of his parents, grandparents or great grandparents. In the absence of any documentary proof of Indian Origin, the applicant must submit a written undertaking about his Indian Origin which must be attested by the Indian Embassy.
