Indian Awareness - Market Opportunities Seminar

Posted on: February 21, 2019 | Back | Print

India's economy was recently described as "an elephant now starting to run" by the International Monetary Fund. Herein lies the view that the years of high growth rates and political action are now beginning to paw. India pt. 15% of global growth and with a reasonably stable growth rate of 7.5%, India is expected to overtake Germany and Japan, thereby achieving the title of the world's third largest economy by 2030.

Behind these figures lies the story of a country with a huge potential but also with challenges. It is, among other things, in these challenges that the business opportunities must be found for Danish companies. Danish technology and know-how are highly sought after in India, precisely because these can help the country further in its development. At the same time, Danish companies have a good reputation in India and the diplomatic ties have just experienced a tremendous boost with bilateral ministerial visits, most recently when Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen led a major business delegation to Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2019 where Denmark was a partner country.
