Celebration of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and Vishwa Hindi Diwas 2019

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and Vishwa Hindi Diwas 2019 were celebrated at the Embassy of India on 10th January 2019, with participation of large number of PIOs and representatives of Indian Associations in Denmark. The gathering was addressed by Ambassador Ajit Gupte, who shared information on ongoing programmes of the Government of India and matters of interest to the Indian diaspora.

Bharat Ko Janiye online quiz winners from Denmark were felicitated and presented with prizes during the event. The bhajan “Vaishnav Jan To” sung by Danish singer Anita Lerche which was produced in association with Embassy of India, as a part of celebration of the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, was played on the occasion. Mrs Archana Painuly gave a speech on “Status of Hindi in Denmark”.
