Celebration of 7th International Day of Yoga in Copenhagen

The 7th International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Copenhagen on 20 June 2020 in hybrid mode. The main event was held at the Embassy premises with select Danish and Indian dignitaries participating in person and thousands of yoga enthusiasts joining through live streaming.
The programme included a welcome address by Ambassador Pooja Kapur and a speech by famous Danish actor Søren Vejby, who also demonstrated the Common Yoga Protocol. The participants were guided through demonstrations of asanas, pranayama and meditation during the event. An Honorary Award of Yoga 2021 was conferred to Ms. Susanna Finocchi of Astanga Yoga for propagating yoga widely in Denmark.
