Advisory for Indian students

The Danish Government has moved India from red to orange zone country with effect from 17.07.2021. Now, a person with permanent residence in India will be able to enter Denmark so long as they have a worthy purpose to do so. It is considered a worthy purpose for entry to be enrolled as a pupil or student at an educational institution that is open, where one has to attend classes or has an exam requiring physical presence.

For entry of students, relevant documentation for the purpose for entering Denmark, e.g. a letter of confirmation from the educational institution at which the person in question has been admitted, must be presented upon entry into Denmark.

Furthermore, when entering Denmark, a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before entry or a negative rapid antigen test taken no more than 48 hours before entry must also be presented. Foreigners arriving in Denmark from an Orange country are required to undergo testing and self-isolation upon arrival in Denmark.
