Online Seminar to Create Awareness on World Hepatitis Day

World Hepatitis Day is observed each year on 28 July brings the world together to raise awareness of viral hepatitis and influence real change. In order to mark the day and create awareness, Parliamentary Research & Training Institute for Democracies(PRIDE) is hosting a seminar about continuing threat of hepatitis to humanity and ways to overcome it for the Hon'ble Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly, Officers/staff of Parliament secretariats, state legislature secretariat, officers of Indian embassies and others. The theme of the programme is "Hepatitis can't wait".

Shri Om Birla, Hon'ble Speaker, Lok Sabha will inaugurate the event on 28 Juy 2021 Wednesday at 01.30 PM (CET). The programme will also witness other eminent guests including Shri Harivansh, Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha, Hon'ble Union Minister, Shri Mansukh L. Mandaviya, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Shri Kiren Rijiju, Hon'ble Union Minister of Law and Justice, Shri Anil Baijal, Hon'ble Lt. Governor, Delhi, Sir Michaeal Houghton, Nobel Laureate, Dr. Poonam Kheterpal, Regional Director- South East Asia, WHO and Shri Amitach Bacchan, Ex-MP, Indian Film Actor and Dadasaheb Phalke Awardee.
