BAN ON THURAYA/IRRIDIUM SATELLITE PHONES BROUGHT BY FOREIGN TOURISTS TO INDIA

It is notified that use of Thuraya/Irridium Satellite phones is banned in India. All the tourists, wishing to visit India, are accordingly advised not to take these phones with them to India. Failure to do so will result in seizure of these phones by the authorities in India and unauthorized use of these satellite telephone services will result in prosecution.
